Part 1: Who Jesus Is

What to Do Now

1. Tell Someone

"…if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

— Romans 10:9 (NET)

Don't keep this secret. Tell a Christian friend or family member: "I gave my life to Christ today."

2. Get Baptized

Jesus commanded it (Matthew 28:19). It's the first act of obedience after conversion. Find a Bible-believing church and get baptized.

3. Read Your Bible

Start with the Gospel of John. Read it slowly. Let God speak to you through His Word. Then continue through the New Testament. This is how you'll know Jesus and grow in Him.

4. Pray Daily

Talk to God. He's your Father now. Tell Him everything — your fears, your joys, your struggles, your questions.

5. Find a Church

You can't follow Jesus alone. Find a local church that:

  • Preaches the Bible faithfully
  • Practices church discipline (Matthew 18)
  • Makes disciples (not just attenders)

Get involved. Serve. Connect.

6. Expect Opposition

The Adversary just lost you. he'll fight to get you back. You'll face:

  • Temptation (old sins will call to you)
  • Doubt (you'll question if this is real)
  • Persecution (people will mock you, reject you, oppose you)

Don't be surprised. Jesus promised this (John 15:18–20).

But also remember:

"You are from God, little children, and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world."

— 1 John 4:4 (NET)

You're not alone. The Spirit is in you. Jesus is with you. You will persevere.

For Those Already Born Again

If you read this and thought: "Yes, that's me. I love Jesus. I fight sin. I'm bearing fruit. I'm genuinely converted."

Praise God.

But don't skip the self-examination. Even genuine believers can grow cold. Even true disciples can drift.

Ask yourself:

  • Am I more in love with Jesus today than I was a year ago?
  • Am I fighting sin more aggressively, or have I made peace with certain sins?
  • Am I bearing more fruit, or am I stagnant?
  • Am I making disciples, or just consuming Christianity?

If you're drifting, return. The Father is waiting (like the prodigal son).

If you're thriving, press on. There's more. Always more. Keep growing. Keep running the race.
