Part Seven: The Royal Family Project
Joint Heirs
Romans 8:17
"Now if we are children, then we are heirs — heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory."
The redeemed are co-heirs with Christ. Not spectators of his inheritance. Not servants in his household. Co-heirs — sharing in the inheritance he holds as the firstborn, the heir of all things. The ancient spiritual beings who were present at the earth's founding, who governed empires, who have knowledge and capability beyond our imagining — they have never been offered co-heirship with the Son. The redeemed have been. Not by merit. By grace, through faith, united to the one who holds the inheritance by right.
The Most Staggering Verse in the New Testament
1 Corinthians 6:2-3
"Or do you not know that the Lord's people will judge the world? And if you are to judge the world, are you not competent to judge trivial cases? Do you not know that we will judge angels? How much more the things of this life!"
[TIER 1 — SCRIPTURE] 1 Corinthians 6:2-3 is Scripture. Paul uses the governance destiny of the redeemed as an assumed baseline — "do you not know?" — implying settled theology. The redeemed will judge angels. This is not metaphor; Paul deploys it as a practical argument.
The beings who shouted for joy when the earth's foundations were laid will answer to those who were made from the earth's dust. This is the logic of the cross applied cosmically: the last shall be first, the servant becomes the ruler, the stone the builders rejected becomes the cornerstone.
Revelation 3:21
"To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne."
The new creation is not a retirement. It is the restoration of the regency breathed into Adam on the sixth day, elevated by the Incarnation, secured by the cross, guaranteed by the resurrection, and fully realized when the sons of God are revealed.
KEY IDEA: The governing destiny of the redeemed is entirely a gift. The redeemed do not earn it — they receive it by being in Christ who earned it. Which means the most important thing in this volume is not the divine council or the cosmic destiny or the geopolitical convergence. The most important thing is John 15. Everything else is the view from the window. John 15 is the house.
