Conclusion
Creation Is Still Being Written
The narrative we have traced in this volume is not finished. The ancient spiritual beings are still operating. The image bearers are still being formed. The groaning of creation is still audible. The sons of God have not yet been fully revealed. The Adversary's jurisdiction has not yet been terminated. We are in the story. The story is not over.
Science is man reading the blueprints of what God built. When a scientist discovers a new physical constant, maps a new galaxy, sequences a genome, or peers into the structure of a protein, she is doing what the image bearer was made to do: exploring the creation, understanding its patterns, exercising the curious and creative intelligence that was breathed into the first man. Science is not the enemy of faith. It is one of the things the breath was given for.
When human beings create — when they compose music, write code, build structures, develop medicines, engineer solutions to the problems the fallen creation presents — they are exercising the imago Dei. They are acting as co-creators in a creation designed to be developed and governed by the beings God breathed into. The question is never whether we create. It is whether we create as regents under the King or as rebels attempting to become the King. Bezalel or Babel. The difference is not in the sophistication of the output. It is in the orientation of the creator.
Science guided by God's hand is worship. Technology submitted to God's governance is Bezalel's work. The new creation is not the end of human creativity — it is its full flowering, finally free of the distortions the fall introduced, finally capable of producing what the image bearer was always intended to produce.
The sons of God revealed. The creation liberated from its bondage to decay. The pale blue dot not discarded but transformed — the address of Genesis 2:7 becoming the starting point of the new creation. The ancient spiritual beings who governed and misgoverned since before the foundations were laid standing before the judgment of the ones God breathed into on the sixth day.
The last shall be first. The branch that stayed in the vine shall bear fruit that remains forever. And creation, which has been straining forward with its neck extended, will finally see them coming.
Romans 8:19
"The creation waits in eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed."
That is the story. The biggest story. The only story that contains all the others.
You are in it. You are one of the ones creation is waiting for.
Remain in him.
Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
John 17:3
