Part Nine: The Invitation

Section 45 — The Door Is Open: John 10:9

"I am the door. If anyone enters through me, he will be saved, and will come in and go out and find pasture." — John 10:9 (NET)

The exclusivity is not about the superiority of Christians. It is about the uniqueness of what Jesus accomplished. There is only one person in human history who died for the sins of the world and rose again. There is only one payment for the debt. Therefore there is only one door. And notice what follows: find pasture — not examination, not additional requirements. Rest. Provision. Peace. The door is open to everyone who will go through it.

Section 46 — The Conversion Prayer

Lord God —

I have been reaching toward You for as long as I can remember. I know that I am in debt and I cannot pay it.

I believe that Jesus Christ — Isa Al-Masih, your Word made flesh — died on the cross for my sin. I believe He rose from the dead. I believe He descended into hell and came back with the keys. I believe He is alive now.

I receive what He has done. I trust in Him — not in my own goodness, not in my own prayers, not in my own scales — but in Him. I ask You to receive me, to forgive me, to fill me with Your Spirit, and to call me Your child.

Amen.

Section 47 — What Comes Next: First Steps for New Believers

1. Read the Gospel of John

Begin there. Read slowly. Notice the I AM statements. Notice the encounters with individuals. This is the primary text for the first weeks.

2. Find a Community

The Christian life is not a solo endeavor. Find a church where the Bible is taught seriously and where people are genuinely known and cared for. For Muslim-background believers, seek communities with experience welcoming people from that background.

3. Be Baptized

Baptism is the public declaration of what has happened internally. It is Jesus's command (Matthew 28:19) and the normal next step.

4. Pray — Differently

Prayer in the name of Jesus is conversation with a Father — intimate, honest, unscripted, available. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

5. Expect the Fruit

The Fruit of the Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control (Galatians 5:22–23) — grows when the Spirit is in you and you stay connected to the vine. Not by trying harder. By staying connected.

6. Tell Someone

"because if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9 (NET)

The new life spills out. It cannot be entirely contained.
