Part Six
What to Watch For
Five doctrines, three full cases each, run to a real depth ahead of you — and read as one undifferentiated wall of argument, this part of the book will leave you exhausted rather than equipped. Part Four already told you what kind of strength each view actually leans on — dispensationalism's plain sequencing, partial preterism's cumulative convergence, full preterism's internal consistency. Carry that with you now that the cases are about to run five times deeper. It will do more work here than it could when you first met it.
One more thing is worth carrying through all five doctrines: not everything below is the same kind of claim. Some of it is checkable — a Greek tense, a historical audience, a body that was or was not touched. Some of it rests on something else — a reading pattern tested across centuries rather than settled by any single verse. This part of the book returns to that distinction directly, in full, once you have seen all five doctrines and have something real to weigh it against.
Each section below follows the same shape: the dispensationalist case, stated at full strength; the partial preterist case, stated at full strength; a direct engagement between whichever two views are doing the most work in that particular doctrine; and a closing weighing that names, plainly, what is still genuinely disputed once both sides have had their say. Full preterism's case appears in every section too, argued at the same strength as the other two, wherever that doctrine's own argument leads it in.
