Read a document or an article

In Google Docs choose Share, set General access to Anyone with the link (Viewer), and copy the link. The headings in the document become its chapters.

The document stays at Google. Your browser fetches the text when you open it and this site keeps nothing. Your place and a short list of recent documents are remembered on this device only.

News articles: the reader shows only an article’s text: no ads, pop-ups, cookie banners, comments or tracking. The text is fetched once for reading and not kept, and every page links back to the original at its publisher. Pages behind a paywall or sign-in cannot be read this way.
