Part Seven

Five Statements: Dispensationalism

One. The Bible promises that before the worst of history arrives, the church gets pulled out of it entirely — "we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air" (1 Thessalonians 4:17, NET). That is a real, physical, imminent rescue. You could be gone before you finish reading this page.

Two. Daniel's seventy weeks leave one week — seven years — still unfulfilled on God's own calendar, waiting on a coming world ruler's peace treaty with Israel to start the countdown. Watch the headlines. That treaty is the trigger nobody will be able to miss.

Three. Revelation describes one man, empowered directly by Satan, ruling the whole world, demanding worship, marking every person who wants to buy or sell. That is not a metaphor for corrupt human systems in general. It is a single individual, still to come, embodying evil at a scale history has never yet produced.

Four. Christ is coming back to rule in person, on this earth, from a real throne in a real Jerusalem, for a literal thousand years — the same promises made to David and to Israel, kept exactly as they were given, not spiritualized into something the church receives instead of the people they were actually made to.

Five. Only after the rescue, the tribulation, and the reign does the final judgment come — every person who has ever lived, standing before God, answering for what they did with what they were given.
