Preface
A Bag of Puzzle Pieces
Last night, before bed, I chose to play one of those YouTube videos — "how the fallen angels from Enoch ended up in Antarctica." Noise.
But this morning, I woke up with a bag of puzzle pieces, and not knowing what picture they would make — I knew there probably was a cohesive message in there.
I started the morning telling Claude AI: "let's study Enoch, find the source — then put it into the discipleship project."
That project is now over 10 books. The most recent being Breaking Satan's Lies, and before that — a walk through Revelation having two viewpoints, and a final call to what God wants you to know, without regard to either viewpoint.
Of all the books though — The Sons of God and its cosmic view is probably my favorite, but it wasn't complete.
So this is Volume II of Volume Seven of 10 or so total. Forgive my inconsistency. They are all part of a bag of puzzle pieces where my heart can feel the picture.
This book — From Sons of God to Children of Light, Volume II to The Sons of God, which is Volume VII of the discipleship series — is put together in the same fashion as Volume VII The Sons of God — with Tier 1 being scriptural authority, Tier 2 being ancient illuminating texts, Tier 3 being magisterial Church teaching. It's meant to be Scripture-based and theologically sound. It brings in a whole range of sources to consider.
The title — "Children of Light" as opposed to "Sons of God" — the book you are about to read explains the title and what God wants you to know about the difference between status and walk.
On Method and Authority
I want to be very clear about the approach here: I am a tool using tools. The Holy Spirit prompts me, I prompt AI.
After using Claude to give me a list of source documents, I used a research synthesis tool — itself a prompt from a prompt — to extract signal from noise, truth from distortion. A research report emerged. I ran out of Claude allowance for a while, came to Meta/Facebook AI. Meta read the research report, Volume VII, Revelation, and Breaking Satan's Lies, and this manuscript came out of it.
I read it for the first time this morning with my wife Barb — who is a devout Roman Catholic, and me, a Calvinist (sort of).
This isn't my writing in the traditional sense. This was produced through me. It is the work of the Spirit — as Christ said to His disciples, "reminding you of all that I have taught you."
