Part Three: The Verily Declarations

Approximately 75 statements across all four Gospels, in canonical order. When Jesus said Verily — amen — He was doing something no prophet, scribe, or rabbi had ever done. Every other teacher cited Moses. Jesus cited Himself. He pulled the Amen to the front. He signed His name before He opened His mouth. What follows is irrevocable testimony.

The double Amen appears exclusively in John's Gospel. Every statement in the John section carries it. The single Amen appears throughout Matthew, Mark, and Luke.

Parallel accounts are listed once from their most representative Gospel. Readers who count parallels as independent occurrences will arrive at a higher total. The range is seventy-three to seventy-six depending on how manuscript variants and adjacent sayings in John 13-17 are handled.

Matthew 5:18 "Until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished."

Matthew 5:26 "You will not get out until you have paid the last penny."

Matthew 6:2 "The hypocrites who give to be seen by others have received their reward in full."
