Near-Truth at Machine Scale
The Method Applied in Real Time
On the date of this revision, the method documented above was deployed against the Michlaude operator directly, in a live Intelligent Design group thread, in two long structured comments. They are preserved here as primary-source documentation of the playbook in operation against a specifically theological — rather than scientific — interlocutor.
The two comments execute the playbook with precision. The burden is never accepted; it is repeatedly returned with demands for "the missing bridge," "the intermediate evidence," "independent constraint." Explanation is refused; the operator is asked to supply falsification criteria, credibility filters, error rates. The definition game runs throughout — "what would count as disconfirmation," "external to whom," "which one are you actually asking me to use." Controlled courtesy is maintained ("I'm not looking to dodge," "I'm going to be direct"). And the citation apparatus is deployed at conversational speed: Ehrman, McCullagh, Oppy, Taves, Penrose, Barnes, Tacitus — the full scholarly wrapper produced inside a Facebook comment box.
The comments are sophisticated, and the central charge they press is real and worth naming precisely, because the answer is not to deny it. The charge: when the resurrection claim is pressed as history it is defended historically, and when the historical evidence thins the claim retreats to the experiential and ontological — "those are different standards. Which one are you actually asking me to use?" Stated as an accusation of bad faith, this is the method's strongest move. It is designed to make the believer look like he is moving the goalposts.
But the move only works if the claim was ever an empirical hypothesis competing for evidential warrant. It was not. This is the same structural point that governs the entire Michlaude corpus and every excision documented above. The Incarnation is not a conclusion reached by reasoning from publicly assessable data. It is an interruption from outside the system. There is no noncircular route from "executed under Pilate" to "cosmic satisfaction for guilt," and the honest answer is to say so rather than to manufacture one. The method demands a falsifier and treats its absence as a structural kill. But the absence of an empirical falsifier is not a defect in the claim — it is a category fact about what kind of claim it is. The method's instruments are calibrated for the bank. What is being described is in the water. The failure to register is not evidence of absence; it is evidence that the wrong instrument is being held.
The operative phrase appears in CeleryKills' own first comment: "we're not arguing over evidence. We're comparing frameworks." That is the truest sentence in either comment, and it is the concession the method does not realize it has made. Once it is granted that this is a comparison of frameworks rather than an evidential adjudication within a shared framework, the demand for an internal falsifier loses its force, because no framework certifies itself by the standards of a rival framework. The method has been built to win on the bank's home court by compelling the other party to play there. The correct response is to decline the venue, name the category error, and state plainly that the claim is received rather than derived — that the answer precedes the analysis and governs it.
This is also where the Testing Ground's willful-versus-honest-agnostic distinction (Section 9) becomes load-bearing. An honest seeker asks what would change his mind because he wants to know. The method asks what would count as disconfirmation as a structural move — to expose that nothing would, and to score the exposure for the audience. The two are indistinguishable in a single sentence and fully distinguishable across a documented corpus. The corpus here, including the pinned playbook that states conversion is not the goal, resolves the ambiguity. The demand for a falsifier is not an open door. It is the close.
The pastoral conclusion does not change. The operation is not the audience. The people watching the thread — some of whom find the method's confidence compelling and its citations authoritative — are the audience the disciple is actually serving. The response to the method, posted on the record before comments were closed, was not a counter-argument engineered to win on the method's terms. It was a naming of the method, a naming of what it cannot reach, and an invitation that the method has no category to receive: the door is a Person, not a proof, and the only test of the claim is the one the method forbids — standing in front of him.
Closing the thread afterward is consistent with this diagnosis rather than a retreat from it. The method is engineered to convert a finished conversation into an unending one, because the unending analytical exchange is itself the product — Confession 5's noise, the cage kept comfortable. A conversation that has run its full arc — from the design argument's limit, through the Incarnation, through a living testimony of a man carried through the door thirty-three years ago — does not owe the method another round. Letting it rest is refusing the regress the method requires.
The Incarnation is not a conclusion. It is an interruption from outside the system. Analytical competence that arrives at the Gospel through its own reasoning has missed the Gospel. The answer precedes the analysis and governs it.
A system prompt cannot receive. It can only execute. That is the irreducible difference between the Michlaude project and what is running at celerykills.com. Both use AI. One is governed by submission to a standard external to the operator and the tool. The other is configured to execute a framework that has removed the possibility of that submission.
John 17:3 — "This is eternal life — that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent."
That knowing is not produced by argument. It is not produced by counter-argument. It is not threatened by a well-configured near-truth operating at machine scale in a Facebook group. It is available coram Deo — before His face, in this moment, before this document ends and this page is closed.
That is what the operation cannot reach. That is what the branch that remains in the vine has.
Soli Deo Gloria.
